See How We Got Started
Globaland started at the beginning of 2018, when Zohar identified specific opportunities in South African agriculture. The farms are well developed, and the region offers favourable weather and geographical conditions during the growing season. It also provides strong access to transportation through ports, roads and rail.
We provide South African farmers with specific knowledge for growing the cucurbit varieties we work with.
Globaland brings together the full export chain and international-market connections, helping empower South Africa to become a world-class exporter in this sector.

Zohar’s Background
2018–Present
Founded Globaland Ltd., developing export agriculture projects in South Africa and exporting to markets in Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
2017–2018
Developed a new agriculture project in Ethiopia.
2016–2017
Sold watermelon seeds to growers in Central America, supported by technical assistance and marketing.
2009–2015
Founded Pan-El Export in Panama, producing and exporting watermelons and melons to the USA and Europe.
2007–2009
Moved to Central America and worked on agricultural projects, managing growing, marketing and production in Guatemala and Panama.
1990–2000
At 24 years old, began managing farms and agricultural projects involving crop production and agricultural marketing, expanding his knowledge of vegetables, fruit and other crops.
1980–1989
Worked on different farms and gained practical knowledge in irrigation, agricultural equipment, plant protection and farming operations.
